Caroline turned 10 months old on Tuesday! At her last check-up, Caroline weighed 10.4 kg and measured 77 cm tall - a big jump! Caroline is growing fast!
We had a great Thanksgiving - having Nana and Poppa Marshall in town made it a very special holiday. Caroline has changed a lot since the last time they saw her and it was really wonderful to see them enjoying each others' company. Caroline also really enjoyed chasing after Mulligan, who is just the perfect size and very tolerant of toddlers.
It was a really fun weekend. Mom and Dad could not get a hug in edgewise on Friday when both sets of Grandparents came over for dinner. On Saturday, the entire family dressed up in pink (as requested) and attended Miss Christine's princess-themed 4th birthday party. Happy birthday, Christine! Sunday was turkey day and the whole Marshall clan, including 3 happy dogs, assembled at Caroline's house for a delicious feast. Nana and Poppa said their so-longs to Caroline on Monday before they flew home. It was a great visit and we can't wait to see them in February.
As the weather turns colder, Caroline has been concentrating on all her skills. So far she is an expert at crawling, pulling off mittens and socks, and giving treats to Bear. As witnessed by both sets of grandparents, Caroline can now stand up on her own, without using a table or chair to pull herself up. This is pretty exciting for Caroline and terrifying for Mummy. She loves to put things in and out of containers and digging around in her giant orange toy bucket is the most fun of all. Two days ago she reached a little too far into the bucket and her little feet lifted off the ground and she fell in. Her rescue was accompanied by a few giggles from Mom. Of course, the bucket easily accommodates up to 3 children, as depicted below.
