We are back home safe and sound from our big trip to Iceland. We spent a week exploring Reykjavik and the beautiful country around the capital and then driving the southern coast. Caroline added a lot to her so far limited experience, taking in glaciers and mountains, whale- and puffin-watching, lava fields, geothermal pools, sea cliffs and waterfalls. We also saw a lot of sheep. It was a fantastic trip through a gorgeous country. Caroline was a happy little traveler, smiling at everyone around her and amusing herself with spoons while Mommy and Daddy ate in restaurants.
Back home, we had our six-month check up where Caroline measured 8.8 kg (around 20 lbs) and 70 cm (for real this time!). Mommy got what-for from the doctor for feeding Caroline steak and recommended only vegetables until nine months (ew! boring!), but Dr. Nicole felt gave the okay so we are planning many delicious and varied purees for our new little eater. Caroline is getting good at eating solid food and enjoys squashing it with her fingers. Tonight she even ate broccoli!
