5 months old and on the go!

Caroline has had a wild couple of weeks, starting with her five-month birthday on the 13th. At Caroline's five month check-up she measured 8.15 kg, and 68 cm long (obviously you have remembered that at her last check up she measured 70 cm long - no she didn't shrink - last month's measurement was off!).
To celebrate her five month birthday Caroline dragged her parents to Montebello and Ottawa for a road trip. In Montebello Caroline learned how to swim, to swing, and met some crazy animals, including wapiti, wild boar and piglets, beaver, bison, wolves, coyotes, bears, ibex and, who is that cute little deer?

After Montebello it was on to Ottawa to meet some of Mommy's friends. Mom, Dad and Caroline enjoyed looking at the tulips and debating the merits of a constitutional monarchy despite the 2'C weather. Caroline was a great little traveller and got lots of compliments from everyone she met.

Back home Caroline is giggling all the time. Especially funny moments are when Daddy comes home and gives her airplane rides, and when she practises sitting up and falling over on the bed.
Last weekend, Caroline met Grandpa Didyk's cousins Valerie and Erica from down east and charmed them with her smiles. She is doing great and getting ready to eat solid food!
